It is my passion to share the benefits of adding creativity to a healthy lifestyle.
I was a registered nurse for more than thirty years and then I discovered the magical world of creating.
Yes, I'm a professional artist and that is certainly creative.
I'm here to tell you that art is not the only form of creativity.
1. Gardening,
2. Choosing those special things to put in your home,
3. Cooking,
4. Sewing,
5. Writing,
6. Playing a musical instrument,
7. Organizing,
8. Building anything,
9. Flower arranging,
10. Dancing
These are a few examples of being creative.
The health benefits include
1. Lowering your stress level- including your blood pressure
2. Increasing serotonin production that increases your sense of happiness and euphoria
3. Increasing concentration
4. Increasing problem solving skills
5. Improving communication skills
6. Improving motor skills
7. Release of hidden emotions
8. Improving observation skills
9. Improves memory
10. Nurtures emotional growth
11. Decreases depression
12. Decreases anxiety
13. Enhances self control
14. Increases self esteem
15. Fosters Language development
16. Stimulates brain activity
17. Fosters perseverance
18. Increases spontaneity
19. Increased attention span
20. Stimulates the senses
